Welcome to the Favalto da Sommo hiking route in Arezzo!

This extremely difficult 17.226 km circular trail will challenge even the most experienced hikers with its 662 meters of elevation gain. Make sure to come prepared with plenty of water, snacks, and proper hiking gear.

Starting off, you'll find several parking areas close to the trailhead, so finding a spot for your vehicle will not be an issue. As you begin your journey, you'll pass by the peaks of Poggio Spino, Poggio dell'Aiola, Poggio della Caccia, and Poggio dello Sbirro. These majestic peaks offer stunning views of the surrounding landscape and are perfect spots to take a break and soak in the beauty of nature.

Around the 8.41 km mark, you'll come across a cozy cafe called Trattoria da Beppone, where you can refuel with some delicious snacks before continuing your adventure. As you make your way back towards the starting point, you can stop at this cafe once again or visit the nearby restaurant for a hearty meal.
