This hiking route takes you to the beautiful Monte Lera area, offering stunning views and challenging terrain. The total distance of the hike is 7.656 kilometers with an elevation gain of 905 meters, making it a difficult but rewarding adventure.
At the beginning of the trail, you will find a parking area for your convenience. As you continue on, about 1.54 kilometers into the hike, you will come across a free flying site where you can witness exhilarating takeoffs. Further along, at 2.14 kilometers, you will reach the impressive peak of Monte Rosselli, offering panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.
Continuing on, at 3.83 kilometers, you will encounter another peak known as Monte Lera. This spot provides a great vantage point to rest and take in the scenery. Additionally, at 2.57 kilometers, you will pass by Bassa delle Sette, a natural saddle formation.
Approximately 3.38 kilometers into the hike, you will find a historic wayside shrine, adding a cultural element to your journey. Further along, at 2.89 kilometers, you will reach Decollo Monte Rosselli, another free flying site for you to enjoy.
Towards the end of the route, at 2.39 kilometers, you will reach Punta Carbonera, another stunning peak to admire. Along the way, you may also come across informative tourism spots for a deeper understanding of the area's history and landmarks.
Before embarking on this challenging hike, make sure to bring plenty of water, snacks, and appropriate hiking gear. It is also recommended to check the weather forecast beforehand and inform someone of your hiking plans for safety precautions. The Out-and-back route will lead you back to the starting point, providing a full day of adventure and exploration in the Monte Lera area.
