This hiking route takes you through the scenic area of SP12, offering a moderate level of difficulty with a total distance of 5.737 kilometers and an elevation gain of 391 meters. It is estimated to take around 2 hours and 18 minutes to complete.
Starting from the trailhead, you will pass by various points of interest along the way. At around 1.97 kilometers from the start, you will come across a water source not directly on the trail. Further along at 2.09 kilometers, there is another water source conveniently located on the trail.
As you continue your hike, you will encounter the Corno d'Aquilio peak at 2.87 kilometers into the route. This viewpoint offers stunning vistas of the surrounding landscape, making it a perfect spot to take a break and enjoy the scenery.
At 2.09 kilometers from the start, you will also find the Grotta del Ciabattino cave entrance. This natural wonder is worth exploring if you have the time and inclination.
Throughout the hike, you will also pass by several parking areas for your convenience. Remember to bring enough water for the journey and check the weather forecast before heading out.
