This challenging circular hiking route takes you through the beautiful Strada Forestale Zampiero area, offering stunning natural scenery and a variety of points of interest along the way.
The trail starts at the parking area near Rifugio Larici da Alessio, a cozy alpine hut where you can grab a bite to eat before embarking on your adventure. As you make your way along the trail, you'll pass several water sources, providing opportunities to refill your water bottles and take in the tranquil surroundings.
About halfway through the hike, you'll come across Rifugio Val Formica, another alpine hut where you can rest and enjoy the panoramic views. Further along the trail, you'll encounter Porta Manazzo, a historic saddle, and a wayside cross, adding a cultural touch to your outdoor experience.
Information points and parking areas are conveniently located throughout the route, offering guidance and facilities for hikers. Keep in mind that this 8.879-kilometer trek involves an elevation gain of 277 meters, making it a difficult but rewarding journey for experienced hikers.
