This hiking route takes you through the beautiful area of Sohlbergstraße in a moderate difficulty out-and-back trail. The total distance of the hike is 5.174 kilometers with an elevation gain of 140.0 meters, which should take around 1 hour and 32 minutes to complete.
As you start your journey, you will come across some interesting points of interest along the trail. At the beginning of the hike, you will find the iconic Simmersbacher Kreuz wayside cross at a distance of 0.67 kilometers from the starting point. Further along the trail, approximately 0.36 kilometers from the start, you will encounter the refreshing Sabinen-Brunnen drinking water spot.
Midway through the hike, at a distance of 1.41 kilometers from the start, there is a shelter named Schutzhütte where you can take a break and enjoy the surrounding scenery. Continuing on, at around 2.59 kilometers from the start, you will find another drinking water point for your convenience.
Towards the end of the hike, at 0.18 kilometers from the starting point, you will come across the historic wayside shrine Bildstock Fiedel Fies. Finally, at the end of the trail, you will reach the destination name Sohlbergstraße - Sohlbergstraße.
