This extremely difficult hiking route will take you to the stunning Le Galeteau area. The trail spans a distance of approximately 9.038 kilometers with an elevation gain of 1200 meters, making it a challenging but rewarding trek for experienced hikers.
As you begin your journey, you will come across the Pré Raymond parking area, which is located right at the start of the trail. Along the way, you will pass by Les 3 Ruisseaux information point, providing interesting insights into the surroundings. Further ahead, at approximately 3.58 kilometers from the start, you will find the Grand Colon viewpoint and peak, offering panoramic views of the area.
Continuing on, you'll encounter more points of interest such as the Pré Raymond information spot and the breathtaking Le Galeteau peak, which sits at 4.52 kilometers from the starting point. As you make your way back, don't miss the viewpoints and peaks that offer a different perspective of the landscape.
Remember to bring plenty of water and snacks, as well as checking the weather forecast before embarking on this challenging hike. The trail is an out-and-back type, so you will retrace your steps back to the starting point.
