This challenging hiking route along Casselweg offers stunning views and an elevation gain of 677 meters over a distance of 7.967 kilometers. The trail starts at a parking area nearby and winds through the picturesque landscape, taking hikers on a journey through the wilderness.
Along the way, you'll come across various points of interest. Midway through the hike, you'll reach Riederfurka, where you can find information about the area. Further along the trail, you'll encounter Nessul and the Klettersteig Aletsch via ferrata. Be sure to take a break at the bench near Stausee Gibidum to rest and enjoy the surroundings.
As you continue on, you'll pass by more benches and viewpoints, offering opportunities to take in the breathtaking scenery. Near the end of the trail, you'll find Villa Cassel / Pro Natura Zentrum Aletsch, where you can relax and grab a bite to eat before heading back.
