This challenging hiking route will take you to the beautiful area around Punta Capanella. The trail is an out-and-back route with a total distance of 11.327 kilometers and an elevation gain of 1105 meters, so be prepared for a strenuous journey that will take approximately 5 hours and 23 minutes to complete.
As you start your hike, you will pass by the stunning Lac de Bastani at around 2.44 kilometers from the beginning of the trail. This picturesque lake is a great spot to take in the surrounding scenery and snap some photos. Moving along, you will come across Refuge d'E Capanelle, an alpine hut located just a short distance from the trail. This cozy accommodation offers a convenient resting spot for weary hikers.
Further ahead, at approximately 0.95 kilometers into the hike, you will find a shelter where you can take a break and refuel before continuing on your journey. Along the way, keep an eye out for various points of interest, such as viewpoints and cafes, which provide opportunities to rest and enjoy the landscape.
As you approach the midway point of the trail, you will encounter Punta alla Vetta, a prominent peak that offers panoramic views of the surrounding area. This is a great spot to catch your breath and admire the natural beauty that surrounds you.
Finally, as you near the end of the hike, you will reach the highlight of the route - Punta Capanella. This majestic peak offers breathtaking views and a sense of accomplishment for reaching the end of this challenging trek.
