This hiking route takes you through the beautiful area surrounding Marienkirche to the Zur Itzquelle. The trail is a circular route with a total distance of approximately 3.992 kilometers and an elevation gain of 102 meters, making it an easy hike suitable for all skill levels.

As you start your journey at the parking area, you will come across a refreshing spring at the beginning of the trail where you can fill up your water bottle. The trail then leads you past various points of interest such as benches for a quick rest, a water basin called Löschwasserbecken, and another spring named Itz to keep you hydrated along the way.

Around 1.38 kilometers into the hike, you will find a natural water source and a bit further at 1.71 kilometers, the Löschwasserbecken water basin. These are perfect spots to take a break, refill your water, and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.

Midway through the hike, at approximately 1.88 kilometers, is Gasthaus Itzquelle, a restaurant where you can stop for a delicious meal or snack before continuing on your journey. The trail also passes by benches and another spring, providing ample opportunities to rest and appreciate the nature around you.

Towards the end of the hike, at around 1.94 kilometers, you will encounter another water source, ensuring you have access to fresh water throughout your hike. As you make your way back to the starting point, you'll find more benches to relax on and enjoy the scenery.
