This extremely difficult out-and-back hiking route in the Jagdhütte - Geotrail - Eisenkappel-Vellach area covers a distance of 12.3 kilometers with an elevation gain of 758 meters, taking approximately 4 hours and 44 minutes to complete.

Starting at Parkplatz Schaidasattel, the trail leads you through stunning natural landscapes and historic sites. At the beginning of the hike, you will come across a wayside shrine before reaching Schaidasattel, a natural saddle point just 0.04 kilometers from the start.

As you progress further, you will pass by information points and a wayside cross along the trail. Midway through the route, at 3.5 kilometers from the start, you will encounter Kališnikturm, a natural peak offering breathtaking views of the surroundings.

Further ahead, at 4.49 kilometers from the start, you will reach another saddle point called Potoksattel. This is followed by more information points and benches along the trail, providing opportunities to rest and learn about the area.

Additionally, there are two waterfalls along the route, Potok Wasserfall and Reschounikturm, located 6.15 kilometers and 2.7 kilometers from the start respectively. These natural attractions add to the scenic beauty of the hike.

It is advisable to bring an adequate supply of water, snacks, and proper hiking gear due to the length and difficulty of the trail. Checking the weather forecast before embarking on the hike is also recommended for a safe and enjoyable experience.
