This challenging out-and-back hiking route takes you along the Route de la Fontaine des Miracles, offering stunning views and diverse points of interest along the way. The trail spans approximately 7.6 kilometers with an elevation gain of 884 meters, making it a difficult but rewarding hike.
Starting at the trailhead, you will pass by various points of interest. At the beginning of the trail, you'll find a parking area for hikers to leave their vehicles. About 0.8 kilometers into the hike, you'll come across Cabane du Jas, a shelter where hikers can take a break and enjoy the surrounding scenery.
Approximately 2.3 kilometers into the hike, you'll encounter Falaise du Morgonet, a climbing area for more adventurous hikers. Continuing on, around 1.4 kilometers into the hike, you'll reach Col du Morgonnet, a saddle offering panoramic views of the surrounding area.
As you make your way along the trail, you'll also come across picnic sites, informative signposts, and a spring called Source du Morgonnet where you can replenish your water supply. Be sure to stop at the viewpoints like Les Hugues and Pic de Morgon for breathtaking vistas of the landscape.
