This hiking route takes you through the beautiful area of Monte Gazzo, offering stunning views and historical points of interest along the way. The trail is circular, with a total distance of 2.695 kilometers and an elevation gain of 182 meters, making it a relatively easy hike suitable for most skill levels.
Starting at the beginning of the trail, you will come across the "Antica fornace produzione calce," an ancient lime production kiln located just 0.43 kilometers from the start. Further along, at approximately 1.05 kilometers from the beginning, you will find the "Area fortini," a scenic picnic site perfect for a rest.
Continuing on, at 1.18 kilometers from the start, there is a drinking water point available for hikers at the "Impianto sollevamento Monte Gazzo." As you approach the 1.28-kilometer mark, you'll encounter the "Lapide partigiani Galvani Gemello e Pinotti Silvano," a memorial honoring local heroes.
Around the midway point of 1.33 kilometers, you'll find the "Monte Gazzo" peak and the "Piazzale Ernesto Delmondo," which offers parking facilities. From here, you can also visit the "Grotta dello scolatoio," a cave entrance just a short distance away.
As you near the end of the trail, at 1.33 kilometers, there is a viewpoint offering panoramic vistas, and also the "Antica Osteria del Gazzo" restaurant to satisfy your appetite after the hike.
