Welcome to the Kukučínova hiking route! This circular trail offers a picturesque journey through the beautiful natural surroundings of the area.
As you begin your hike, you will find a convenient parking area located just 1.25 km from the starting point. Be sure to top up your water bottles at the drinking water station nearby before you hit the trail. As you venture further along the path, you will come across a refreshing spring only 800 meters from the start, providing a perfect spot to rest and hydrate.
One of the highlights of this route is the stunning viewpoint at 1.27 km from the start where you can take in breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. For those looking to take a break, there are benches conveniently placed along the way at various points of interest.
Around the midway point of the hike, at 1.22 km from the start, you will find the shelter "Koliba pod krížom na hrade", offering a peaceful spot to relax or have a snack. Just a short distance away, you can explore the historic wayside cross and gather information about the area at "Hradisko Ostražica".
For those seeking a bit of adventure, the peak of Ostražica is located 1.23 km from the trail but provides a rewarding challenge for those who wish to reach it. Keep in mind that this point is slightly off the main trail.
