This challenging 8-kilometer hike will take you through the picturesque landscape surrounding Friedrichsturm.
Starting at the trailhead, you'll pass by several parking areas before reaching the Gruttenhütte Alpine Hut, where you can refuel with a meal or a refreshing drink. Further along the trail, you'll encounter the Klamml Via Ferrata with its different sections - the Lower, Two-Rope Bridge, and Upper sections, providing an exciting climbing experience for those seeking an adrenaline rush.
As you continue on, you'll come across informative signs such as the Gruttenhütte and Abzw. Gruttenhütte Klamml markers, offering insights into the area's history and surroundings. Additionally, you'll find the Hl.-Anna-Grotte memorial and the wayside shrine XIV, adding a cultural touch to your hike.
During your journey, make sure to stop by the Almladl farm shop for some local products and enjoy the breathtaking views from the Gruttenkopf and Kaindl-Stewart-Turm peaks. As you approach the end of the trail, you'll pass by the Kopftörl saddle and the Friedrichsturm peak, offering panoramic views of the surrounding area.
