This challenging hiking route takes you through the stunning mountainous area of Fählenalp. The trail is an out-and-back type, with a total distance of 11.54 kilometers and an elevation gain of 1072 meters, making it a difficult hike that will take around 5 hours and 21 minutes to complete.

As you start your journey, you will come across the picturesque Fählensee, located 5.06 kilometers from the trailhead. This tranquil lake provides a perfect spot to take a break and soak in the beautiful natural surroundings.

Continuing on, at 4.3 kilometers into the hike, you will find the Berggasthaus Bollenwees, a cozy mountain inn where you can refuel with some delicious local cuisine. Around 0.13 kilometers further, at 4.41 kilometers from the start, you will reach the Klettergarten, a climbing area for those seeking an additional adventure.

Further along the trail, at 5.77 kilometers from the start, you will reach the Fählenalp alpine hut, offering a comfortable place to rest and take in the breathtaking mountain views.

As you make your way back, be sure to stop at the Saxerlücke, located at 3.4 kilometers from the start, where you can enjoy the stunning panoramic views of the surrounding area.

Throughout the hike, you will also come across various amenities such as benches, BBQ areas, and shelters, providing convenient rest stops along the way.
