This hiking route takes you through the picturesque area surrounding Blackcap Peak. The trail is a circular route with a total distance of 4.519 kilometers and an elevation gain of 105 meters, making it an easy hike suitable for all skill levels.
As you begin your hike, you will come across a convenient parking area, located just 16.354 meters from the trailhead. About 0.07 kilometers into the hike, you will pass by The Half Moon Inn, a pub where you can grab a bite to eat or a refreshing drink before continuing on your journey.
As you make your way along the trail, you will eventually reach the impressive Blackcap Peak, which stands at a distance of 2.09 kilometers from the start of the trail. This is a great spot to take in stunning panoramic views of the surrounding area and snap some unforgettable photos.
About midway through your hike, you will also encounter another peak at a distance of 1.55 kilometers from the start. This additional peak offers even more breathtaking views and a chance to immerse yourself in the beauty of nature.
