Welcome to the hiking route on sentiero Skabar! This moderate 5.941-kilometer circular trail offers a scenic adventure through the beautiful natural surroundings of the area.

Starting off the hike, you will find a convenient parking area right at the beginning of the trail. As you make your way onwards, at around 2.75 kilometers from the start, you will reach the stunning peak of Monte Lanaro / Volnik, where you can enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.

Along the route, you will also come across informative signposts providing interesting facts about the area and its landmarks. These points of interest are scattered throughout the trail, with one located midway at 1.73 kilometers and another closer to the end at 2.16 kilometers from the start.

For those looking to take a break and rest, there is a shelter named Monte Lanaro located at 2.72 kilometers from the start. This is a great spot to relax and refuel before continuing your hike.

The trail also passes by other natural attractions such as the peaks Vižman and Kamičelo, offering diverse experiences along the way. While Vižman is slightly off the trail at 0.61 kilometers from the start, Kamičelo is conveniently located on the trail at 1.03 kilometers from the start.

As you venture further, at around 1.23 kilometers from the start, you will find the intriguing cave entrance of Grotta Ombretta. Although slightly off the trail, this natural wonder is worth a visit if you are up for a short detour.

Before embarking on this adventure, make sure to pack plenty of water, wear comfortable hiking shoes, and check the weather forecast. With an elevation gain of 205 meters and a duration of approximately 1 hour and 53 minutes, this hike offers a rewarding outdoor experience for hikers of all levels.
