Starting at the trailhead, you will begin your journey towards the peak of Monte Maiore, which is located approximately 2.07 kilometers from the start. As you make your way through the rugged terrain, you will come across Rifugio La Casetta di Lapo, a cozy restaurant where you can refuel and enjoy a meal just 2.88 kilometers into the hike.

Continuing on, you will pass by Piramidi, historic monuments that add a cultural touch to the natural beauty surrounding you. The trail then leads you to Lago della Risaia, a picturesque lake located 3.19 kilometers from the starting point, offering a peaceful spot to rest and take in the scenery.

As you ascend towards Cima delle Capannacce, you will encounter Cima del Diaccione, another peak along the way that is 3.16 kilometers from the start. Be sure to stop by the picnic site and drinking water station located 1.39 kilometers into the hike to replenish your supplies and take a break.
