This hike takes place in the Tempy Road area near Hobart. The trail is an out-and-back route with a total distance of 3.615 kilometers and an elevation gain of 67 meters, making it an easy hike suitable for all skill levels.
As you start your journey, you will come across a parking area right at the beginning of the trail, making it convenient for hikers to park their vehicles. Approximately 1.36 kilometers into the hike, you will encounter a water source, followed by another water point at around 1.81 kilometers from the start. It is important to stay hydrated, so remember to refill your water bottles at these locations.
About 0.79 kilometers from the start, there is a water source off the trail, so it's advisable to carry enough water with you in case you need it before reaching the next water point.
As you continue on the trail, you will come across Sugarloaf Hill, a peak located roughly 1.57 kilometers from the start. Although it is off the trail, it offers a scenic view and a great spot to take a break before heading back.
