Monte Nero

Welcome to the hiking route to Monte Nero!

Located in a picturesque area, this moderate difficulty out-and-back trail covers a distance of 6.864 kilometers with an elevation gain of 168 meters, taking approximately 2 hours to complete. Before embarking on this adventure, it is recommended to bring an ample supply of water, wear appropriate hiking gear, and check the weather forecast.

Starting at the trailhead, you will come across the historic Palazzo dei Monaci. As you journey further, you will pass by the parking area and reach the peak of Monte Nero, offering stunning panoramic views of the surroundings. Along the way, you will encounter Fontana Orti, a natural spring, and Colle Del Ronco, a picturesque saddle.

At the beginning of the trail, you will find Belvedere Guido Seborga, a viewpoint providing an excellent vantage point. Further along, you will come across several benches including Belvedere Vittoria Delfanti, where you can take a rest and soak in the beauty of the area. Additionally, there are memorials like Umberto I and facilities such as drinking water points and restaurants like Osteria del Coniglio, Ristorante Marcellino's, and Trattoria S. Bernardo for a well-deserved break.
