This hiking route will take you to the beautiful area of Ilienkopf, offering stunning views and various points of interest along the way. The trail is an out-and-back type, starting at Parking Gare de Metzeral.

Midway through the hike, you will reach the peak of Ilienkopf, where you can enjoy panoramic views of the surroundings. Nearby, you will find a restaurant called Le Soleil d'Or to refuel and relax.

Continuing on, you will come across the viewpoint at Kuhfeil and a picnic site, perfect for a break. As you make your way back, you can visit the Monument aux Morts memorial and the bicycle parking at Abri vélo.

Throughout the trail, you will find benches and drinking water stations for your convenience. The total distance of the hike is approximately 4.9 kilometers, with an elevation gain of 332 meters, making it a moderate difficulty level.
