The hike begins at the parking area, located right at the start of the trail. As you start your journey, you will come across the Naturfreundehaus restaurant, perfect for a quick bite or a relaxing stop. Further along the trail, at about 1.47 kilometers from the start, you will find a picturesque picnic site, ideal for a peaceful break surrounded by nature.

As you continue hiking, you will reach the peak of Karlisberg at 4.27 kilometers from the start. The panoramic views from this point make the elevation gain worth it. Along the route, you will encounter several information points, providing insights into the local flora, fauna, and geology of the area.

At about 2.35 kilometers from the start, there is a drinking water station, allowing you to refill your water bottle and stay hydrated throughout the hike. Towards the end of the hike, around 4.24 kilometers from the start, you will reach a viewpoint offering breathtaking views of the landscape. Finally, as you make your way back to the parking area, take in the beauty of Roti Flue peak at 1.3 kilometers from the start.
