Welcome to the hiking route to Lyshornet! This challenging 9.1-kilometer out-and-back trail offers stunning views and a variety of points of interest along the way.
The hike starts at the parking area, so make sure to arrive early to secure a spot. As you begin your journey, you'll pass by Lyse kloster, a historic ruin dating back centuries. Further along the trail, you'll come across Lysekloster kapell, another historic ruin, and a great spot to take in some local history.
As you continue on, you'll reach a beach area at around 1.25 kilometers, perfect for a quick rest and maybe even a dip in the water. The trail then takes you past several water sources, providing plenty of opportunities to refill your water bottle.
Halfway through the hike, you'll encounter a bench where you can sit and enjoy a snack while taking in the surrounding nature. From here, the trail gradually ascends towards Lyshornet, a peak that offers panoramic views of the area. Be prepared for a steep final push to the summit, where you'll be rewarded with breathtaking scenery.
Throughout the hike, be sure to stay hydrated and check the weather forecast before setting out. With an elevation gain of 405 meters, this trail is best suited for experienced hikers looking for a challenging adventure.
