Welcome to the Puixet hiking route, a challenging 18.367-kilometer out-and-back trail that will lead you through breathtaking landscapes and historical landmarks.
The trail starts at the Real Monasterio de Santa María de Aguas Vivas, a historic monastery located right at the beginning of the route. As you make your way along the trail, you'll pass by a beautiful water feature at the 9.18-kilometer mark, perfect for a tranquil rest stop.
At around 4.17 kilometers into the hike, you'll have the opportunity to explore the Sima de l’Aigua cave entrance and the ruins of Horno de cal, offering a glimpse into the area's rich history. Further along the trail, you'll come across the picturesque picnic site and BBQ area, ideal for a well-deserved break.
The route offers a total elevation gain of 484 meters, making it an extremely difficult trek suited for experienced hikers. Make sure to bring plenty of water, snacks, and check the weather forecast before embarking on this challenging journey.
