This challenging hiking route takes you through the scenic area of Traseu turistic Șaua Crăpăturii - Vârful Turnu. The trail is a circular route with a total distance of 10.737 kilometers and an elevation gain of 928 meters, making it a difficult trek that will take approximately 4 hours and 48 minutes to complete.
As you start your journey, you will come across points of interest along the way. At the beginning of the trail, just 1.8 kilometers from the start, you will find the refreshing Izvorul Viu spring. A bit further at 1.81 kilometers, there is a picnic site where you can take a break and enjoy the surroundings.
Midway through the hike, at 2.57 kilometers, you will reach an information point that provides insights into the area's history and landmarks. Continuing on, at 3.98 kilometers, you'll encounter Crucea din Carpați, a viewpoint with a historic wayside cross offering stunning views of the landscape.
