Welcome to the hiking route to Castell de la Barquera!
Located in a beautiful natural area, this moderate 5.3-kilometer out-and-back trail offers stunning views and a touch of history.
Starting at the parking area, you'll follow the trail and pass by an information point about the area, approximately 1.48 kilometers from the start. As you continue, you'll come across the ruins of Castell de la Barquera, a historic site located 2.64 kilometers from the beginning of the trail. This is a great spot to take a break and admire the surroundings.
Along the way, you'll also find a wheelchair-accessible drinking water fountain (0.72 kilometers from the start) and another two drinking water spots (not directly on the trail).
At the turnaround point, approximately 2.65 kilometers from the start, you'll reach the peak of Castell de la Barquera, where you can enjoy panoramic views before heading back the way you came.
