Located in the picturesque area of Obere Landwehr, this hiking route offers a super easy trek spanning 1.536 kilometers with an elevation gain of 77 meters, perfect for beginners and nature enthusiasts. As you embark on your journey, you will come across various points of interest along the way.
Starting off the trail, you will find a parking area nearby. As you venture further, you will encounter the historic Wasserhochbehälter building at around 0.38 kilometers from the start, followed by the ruins of Wohnturm Donop at 0.76 kilometers. Additionally, you will pass by memorials such as Grabmahl Herzog Georg II. und Helene Freifrau von Heldburg, Mahnmal Luftangriff von 1945, and Rudolf Baumbach, all located within the first kilometer of the hike.
Midway through the route, you will reach the viewpoint at 0.45 kilometers, offering a scenic panorama of the surrounding area. Further along the trail, you will encounter memorial sites like Karl Behlert and Richard Mühlfeld, providing a glimpse into the local history and heritage.
