This challenging hiking route takes you through the picturesque area surrounding Mas de Puig de Marc on the GR 7 trail. With a total distance of approximately 8.93 kilometers and an elevation gain of 449 meters, this hike is not for the faint of heart.
Starting at the parking area located at the beginning of the trail, you will soon come across the first point of interest, the ruins of Mas de Puig de Marc. Situated 4.47 kilometers from the trail start, these historic ruins offer a glimpse into the past.
As you continue on, you will pass by several drinking water stops along the way, providing a much-needed break and refreshment. Be sure to stay hydrated, especially on hot days.
Further along the trail, you will encounter the Barraca del Bresca ruins at 1.97 kilometers from the start, followed by the Corral del Bresca ruins at 2.31 kilometers. These historic sites add a fascinating element to the hike, offering a glimpse into the region's history.
One of the highlights of the hike is the Tossal del Purunyo peak, located 3.25 kilometers from the start. The peak offers stunning panoramic views of the surrounding landscape, making it a perfect spot to rest and take in the scenery.
As you make your way back along the trail, you will pass by more ruins and drinking water stops, providing ample opportunities to rest and refuel.
