Welcome to the Route du Fort hiking trail! This easy 2.8-kilometer route offers a scenic adventure through historical sites and natural beauty.
Starting at the parking area, you'll first come across Le Bambou restaurant, perfect for a pre-hike meal or post-hike refreshments. As you continue along the trail, you'll pass by several benches and drinking water stations for your convenience.
One of the highlights of the hike is Batterie de Sermenaz, a historic fort located 1.06 kilometers from the start. This is a great spot to explore and learn about the area's past. Further along, at 1.15 kilometers, you'll encounter a castle, adding to the historical charm of the hike.
For nature lovers, there are two viewpoints along the trail, with the first one located at 1.4 kilometers. These spots offer breathtaking vistas of the surrounding landscape, perfect for a peaceful break.
Throughout the hike, you'll experience a total elevation gain of 77 meters, making it a relatively easy trek suitable for hikers of all levels. Remember to bring plenty of water, as well as your camera to capture the beautiful scenery.
