This hiking route takes you to the beautiful area of Monte Puzzillo, offering stunning views and a challenging trek. The total distance of the route is 10.729 kilometers with an elevation gain of 613 meters, making it a difficult trail that will take approximately 4 hours to complete.
Starting at the trailhead, you will first come across a parking area just 80 meters away from the trail. Make sure to park your car here before embarking on your journey. As you begin your hike, you will pass another parking area at the beginning of the trail for your convenience.
Midway through the hike, you will reach a refreshing spring just 17 meters from the trail, where you can take a break and refill your water bottles. Continuing on, you will eventually arrive at the highlight of the hike, Monte Puzzillo, a peak with breathtaking panoramic views located 5.36 kilometers from the start of the trail.
It is important to note that although some points of interest are not directly on the trail, they are easily accessible and worth the short detour. Remember to bring plenty of water, snacks, and wear sturdy hiking boots. Check the weather forecast before heading out, as conditions can change quickly in mountainous areas.
