This hiking route takes you through the beautiful area surrounding Monte Cavallo. With a distance of approximately 6.32 kilometers and an elevation gain of 557 meters, this trail is rated as difficult and is recommended for experienced hikers.
As you start your journey, you will come across a parking area where you can leave your vehicle before setting off on the trail. Along the way, at about 1.46 kilometers from the starting point, you will find the ruins of an ancient lime kiln known as "Antica fornace per la calce". This historic site offers a glimpse into the past and adds cultural richness to your hike.
At around 3.05 kilometers into the trail, you will reach the peak of Monte Cavallo, where you can enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. Be sure to take a moment to appreciate the natural beauty that surrounds you.
As you continue on, approximately 1.86 kilometers from the start, you will come across a drinking water source where you can refill your water bottle and stay hydrated throughout your hike.
