This extremely difficult 13.6-kilometer circular hiking route will take you through the beautiful area surrounding Chapeau de Gendarme (Le Lan). As you embark on this challenging journey, be prepared to conquer an elevation gain of 1042 meters over the course of approximately 5 hours and 45 minutes.
Throughout the hike, you will encounter various points of interest that will capture your attention. At the beginning of the trail, you will find "Les Deux Mazots," a charming restaurant just 0.13 kilometers from the starting point. As you venture further, you will come across "Le Trappeur" and "L'Ange Gardien," two additional restaurants conveniently located along the trail for a much-needed break.
For those seeking shelter or information along the route, "Cabane de la Goutta" is a non-guarded shelter situated 4.02 kilometers from the start. "La Rente," "Pré Guérin," "Chapeau de gendarme," "Le Queiron," "Vallon de la Goutta," "Sauze 1700," "Gare d'arrivée du télésiège," and "Montée du Queiron" are also informative points of interest you will encounter at various stages of the hike.
