This hiking route takes you through a beautiful area with stunning viewpoints and historic landmarks. The trail is 3.711 kilometers long with an elevation gain of 149 meters, making it an easy hike suitable for all skill levels.
You will start your journey at Polka parking area, where you can safely leave your vehicle before heading out on the trail. Along the way, you will come across several points of interest. At just 0.02 kilometers from the start, you will find a charming picnic site named Polka, perfect for taking a break and enjoying a snack.
Continuing on, at 0.07 kilometers from the start, you will encounter the Josef Gubisch memorial, a historic landmark worth exploring. As you trek further, at 0.29 kilometers from the start, there is the wayside shrine AB1800 and an information point named Polka.
One of the highlights of this hike is the Elendbachl ruins at 0.32 kilometers from the start. These ruins offer a glimpse into the area's history and provide a great photo opportunity. Additionally, there are two wayside crosses to see along the trail, one from 1907 at 0.29 kilometers from the start, and another one at 0.17 kilometers.
