This extremely difficult 17.591-kilometer circular hiking route, known as the Mark Twain Weg, offers a challenging adventure through breathtaking landscapes. Starting your journey, you will come across a variety of Points of Interest along the trail.
Approximately 2.34 kilometers from the start, you will find the Matthiol restaurant, perfect for a quick break. Further along, at around 4.57 kilometers, the Chämi-Hitta restaurant offers a great spot to refuel with some local cuisine. As you near the 7-kilometer mark, the Buffet & Bar Riffelberg provides another opportunity to rest and enjoy the surroundings.
Along the way, you will also encounter the Papperla Pub, a cozy pub located 1.13 kilometers from the start, ideal for a refreshing drink. Additionally, at the beginning of the trail, you will find a beautiful fountain known as the Inderbinen Brunnen.
As you approach the 5.07-kilometer mark, the Al Bosco restaurant awaits, offering a serene setting to relax. Near the 0.79-kilometer point, you will find the Pizzeria Le Vieux Valais, where you can indulge in delicious pizza.
Throughout the hike, you will come across several information points, benches, and other facilities to enhance your experience. Remember to bring enough water, snacks, and proper hiking gear as this trail is quite challenging, with an elevation gain of 1243 meters.
