This extremely difficult hiking route will take you on an out-and-back journey to the majestic Platthorn peak. The 16.267-kilometer trail boasts a challenging elevation gain of 1719 meters and is estimated to take around 8 hours to complete.
Starting your adventure, you will pass by various points of interest along the way. Approximately 4.23 kilometers from the start, you'll find the Berggasthaus Trift, a charming alpine hut where you can refuel and enjoy a meal.
As you continue on the trail, you'll also come across Camping Zermatt, a campsite located 0.31 kilometers from the start, offering a unique overnight stay option for hikers.
