Scartufts is a beautiful hiking area with a moderate difficulty level, perfect for a day hike. The trail spans 2.386 kilometers with an elevation gain of 181 meters, taking approximately 1 hour to complete.

As you start your hike, you will come across a serene water source at 1.19 kilometers from the beginning. This is a great spot to refill your water bottles and take in the natural surroundings.

Continuing on, at 0.17 kilometers from the start, you will pass by Tarn Foot Farm Campsite, a charming accommodation option for those looking to extend their stay in the area.

For those driving to the trailhead, a parking area is available 0.05 kilometers from the starting point, ensuring easy access to the hiking route.

As you reach the end of the trail at 0.78 kilometers, you will find yourself at a peak with stunning panoramic views of the surrounding landscape, making it a perfect spot to rest and enjoy a well-deserved break before heading back.
