You are about to embark on a challenging hiking route in the beautiful Mehlhauben area. This circular route spans a distance of 9.674 kilometers with an elevation gain of 701 meters, making it a difficult but rewarding trek that will take approximately 4 hours to complete.

As you begin your journey, you will come across the Moosalm alpine hut, located just 0.93 kilometers from the start of the trail. This cozy hut provides a great opportunity to rest and take in the stunning surroundings. As you continue onwards, you will pass by a refreshing water source at the 2.05 kilometer mark, perfect for refilling your water bottle.

Around the 2 kilometer mark, you will find the Reitlehenalm restaurant, where you can enjoy a hearty meal before continuing on your adventure. Further along the trail at 2.89 kilometers, you will reach the quaint Unterbuchstein alpine hut, offering another chance to rest and recharge.

Throughout the hike, you will encounter various points of interest such as information points and benches for a quick break. Be sure to check out the Reitlehenalm information point at 1.61 kilometers and the bench at 0.79 kilometers for some interesting insights about the area.

At the halfway point, you will reach the Mehlhauben peak, standing tall at 4.83 kilometers from the start. This is a great spot to take in panoramic views of the surrounding landscape and snap some memorable photos.

As you make your way back towards the starting point, be sure to check the weather forecast beforehand and pack plenty of water and snacks to stay hydrated and energized throughout the hike.
