This hiking route will take you through the beautiful area surrounding Poggio Bardellone. The trail is 5.243 kilometers long with an elevation gain of 402 meters, making it a moderate difficulty hike. It is an out-and-back route, meaning you will retrace your steps on the way back.
Starting at the trailhead, you will find parking facilities nearby to leave your vehicle. As you begin your journey, you will pass by the historic Palagio della Docciola, a castle located about 0.3 kilometers into the hike. Further along, at about 0.39 kilometers, you will come across Fonte Docciola, a natural spring where you can refill your water bottles.
Midway through the hike, at 2.62 kilometers, you will reach Poggio Bardellone, a peak offering stunning views of the surrounding landscape. This is a great spot to take a break and admire the scenery before continuing on your way.
Along the trail, you will also find amenities such as Pizzeria Boccia and Bar Il Fossato, where you can grab a bite to eat or a refreshing drink. There are also drinking water facilities available at certain points along the route.
