Welcome to Senda La Maliza, a challenging and extremely difficult 12.83-kilometer circular hiking route with an elevation gain of 618 meters. This trail will take approximately 4 hours and 30 minutes to complete, so make sure to pack enough water and snacks for the journey.
Starting at El Travieso parking area, you'll embark on your adventure through stunning natural landscapes. As you make your way along the trail, you'll come across some interesting points of interest:
- Cueva de Hoyamoros (4.54 km from the start) - A shelter where you can take a break and admire the surroundings.
- Collado de Los Buitres (5.9 km from the start) - A saddle offering panoramic views of the area.
- Various peaks along the trail, such as Peak 1 (6.11 km), Peak 2 (6.26 km), Peak 3 (6.4 km), Peak 4 (6.07 km), and Peak 5 (6.4 km) - Each peak provides a different perspective of the landscape.
- Spring (5.55 km from the start) - A refreshing spot to refill your water bottle.
- Memorial (4.87 km from the start) - A historic site worth exploring.
Throughout the hike, you'll also encounter several shelters and a vivac for resting and enjoying a meal amidst nature's beauty. Keep an eye out for wildlife and be prepared for some steep inclines and rocky terrain.
