This challenging hiking route in the Asuntza area covers a distance of 8.235 kilometers with an elevation gain of 525 meters, making it suitable for experienced hikers. Before embarking on this journey, it is advisable to bring an ample water supply and check the weather forecast.
Starting at the parking area, you will venture into the picturesque surroundings of Asuntza, with the Nerbioi bailara/Valle del Nervión viewpoint offering stunning panoramic views at 3.66 kilometers into the hike. Along the way, you will encounter notable points of interest such as the historic wayside cross at 2.03 kilometers and the natural spring named Iturriaga at 1.14 kilometers.
Further into the hike, at 3.75 kilometers, you will reach the peak of Sollakurtzekopunta followed by the peaks of Asuntza and Kurtzegana at 4.12 and 2.15 kilometers respectively.
