Welcome to the Albert Riesterer-Weg hiking route! This scenic trail spans a distance of 2.132 kilometers with an elevation gain of 146 meters, making it an easy and enjoyable hike for all skill levels. Before embarking on your adventure, be sure to bring an ample supply of water and check the weather forecast to ensure a safe and comfortable journey.

Starting at the P+M Hohenkrähen parking area, you will begin your trek through the picturesque landscape. Along the way, you will encounter several points of interest that add to the charm of the hike. At the beginning of the trail, just 0.99 kilometers from the start, you'll come across the historic Hohenkrähen castle, a must-see attraction with a rich cultural background.

As you continue on, at about 0.75 kilometers into the hike, you'll find an information point where you can learn more about the history and significance of the area. Additionally, at 0.8 kilometers, you'll come across a BBQ site and at 0.75 kilometers, a picnic site, perfect for a rest stop or a quick snack.

Midway through the trail, approximately 1.03 kilometers from the start, you'll be treated to stunning views from the Hohenkrähen volcano. Be sure to take in the breathtaking scenery and capture some memorable photographs.

Near the end of your journey, at 1.07 kilometers from the start, you'll reach a viewpoint that offers panoramic vistas of the surrounding landscape. This is an ideal spot to pause and savor the beauty of your surroundings.
