This challenging hiking route will take you to the stunning Pedra Rija area, offering breathtaking views and historic ruins along the way. The trail is 9.411 kilometers long with an elevation gain of 1102 meters, promising a rewarding journey for experienced hikers.
As you begin your hike, you will pass by a convenient parking area before reaching Casa do Pico Cidrão, an ancient ruin located 3.7 kilometers from the start of the trail. Further along the path, you will encounter more ruins, including Pico da Adaga at 3.16 kilometers and Pico dos Galinheiros at 2.93 kilometers from the beginning.
Venture off the trail slightly to explore Pico do Cidrão, a natural peak located 4.36 kilometers into the hike. For an even more impressive viewpoint, make a stop at Pedra Rija, a tourist spot offering panoramic vistas just 4.71 kilometers from the start.
