This difficult 10.462-kilometer out-and-back hike takes you along the Trattenbachweg, offering stunning views and a challenging terrain.
Starting at the parking area, you will make your way through lush alpine landscapes, with the Trattenbach-Grundalm alpine hut located at around 4.93 kilometers from the start. This makes for a great spot to take a break and enjoy some refreshments while taking in the scenic surroundings.
As you continue on the trail, you will come across a couple of natural water sources at approximately 2.52 kilometers and 5.23 kilometers from the start, providing a perfect opportunity to refill your water supplies.
Around 3.08 kilometers from the start, you'll find Das Krafthaus, an information point where you can learn more about the area and its history.
With an elevation gain of 384 meters, this hike offers a good challenge for experienced hikers. Make sure to bring plenty of water, snacks, and sunscreen, as well as to check the weather forecast before embarking on this adventure.
