This extremely difficult hiking route takes you through the beautiful area of Charajaille, offering stunning views and challenging terrain. The 16.456-kilometer long trail boasts an elevation gain of 945 meters and is estimated to take about 6 hours and 10 minutes to complete.
As you begin your hike, you will come across the ruins of Berthaud, about 5.33 kilometers from the starting point. Further along the trail, at about 0.75 kilometers from the start, you will encounter the Via Ferrata Les Vires des Gorges d'Agnielles, a popular spot for climbers.
Midway through the hike, at approximately 5.7 kilometers from the start, you will reach the Col de Berthaud, a picturesque saddle point along the trail. Nearby, you can explore the Grotte de la Résurrection, a cave entrance located 0.82 kilometers from the starting point.
Towards the end of the route, at around 8.23 kilometers from the start, you will reach the peak of Charajaille, offering panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.
