This extremely difficult hiking route takes you through the breathtaking area of Sentier Crête de la Serre des Cabales. With a total distance of 12.434 kilometers and an elevation gain of 1138 meters, this challenging hike is not for the faint of heart.
Starting at a parking area, you will begin your journey towards the first point of interest, Chalet l'Avalanche, a cozy cafe located only 0.08 kilometers from the trailhead. As you hike further, you will come across stunning natural landmarks such as Lac des Grauès and Lac Bleu, offering serene water views along the way.
Along the trail, make sure to take a break at Estive des Crabioules, located 0.29 kilometers from the start, where you can enjoy the surrounding beauty and maybe even spot some wildlife. For those seeking shelter, Cabane de La Houradade and Abri de Graues - luchonais are available at 2.95 and 4.76 kilometers from the trailhead respectively.
