This hiking route will take you to the beautiful area of Refuge du Prat Long in Castillon-de-Larboust. The trail is an out-and-back route with a total distance of 8.723 kilometers and an elevation gain of 758 meters. The estimated duration for this hike is approximately 3 hours.

As you begin your journey, you can stop by Chalet l'Avalanche, a cozy cafe located right at the starting point of the trail. Make sure to grab a coffee and some snacks before you head out. The first point of interest you will encounter is the parking area located nearby, where you can leave your vehicle securely.

As you continue on the trail, you will come across the beautiful Estive des Crabioules, a picturesque spot to take in the stunning views of the surrounding nature. Make sure to take some time to appreciate the natural beauty of this area.

About 4 kilometers into the hike, you will reach the Refuge du Prat Long - luchonais, a shelter where you can take a break and rest before continuing your journey. Just 2 kilometers away from the shelter, you will find the Cabane de La Houradade, another shelter for hikers looking for a place to relax.

Keep following the trail, and after 2 kilometers, you will arrive at the Cascade de Calahoure, a breathtaking waterfall that is definitely worth the visit. Just a short distance away, you will also find the Cascade du Cœur, another stunning waterfall to admire.

As you make your way back towards the starting point, don't forget to stop by Vallée du Lis for some additional information about the area. If you're in need of some refreshments, Ô Berges du Lys cafe is the perfect place to relax and refuel.
