This hiking route takes you through the beautiful area of Sentier du Col de Sacroux au Sarrat de La Glère. With a total distance of 14.424 kilometers and an elevation gain of 1179 meters, this extremely difficult hike will challenge even experienced hikers.
As you start your journey, you will come across Chalet l'Avalanche, a cozy cafe just 0.08 kilometers from the trailhead. Make sure to grab a quick bite or a warm drink before heading further into the wilderness. Along the way, you will also find Estive des Crabioules, a scenic spot 0.29 kilometers from the start, where you can take in the natural beauty of the area.
Further into the hike, at 2.95 kilometers from the start, you will reach Cabane de La Houradade, a shelter where you can rest and refuel before continuing your trek. As you approach the midway point, you will encounter Col de Pinata, a saddle located 4.88 kilometers from the start, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape.
Continuing on, you will reach Cascade de Calahoure, a stunning waterfall 2.48 kilometers from the start, where you can cool off and enjoy the serene atmosphere. Further along the trail, at 6.55 kilometers from the start, you will reach Col de Sacroux, another picturesque saddle that marks the halfway point of your journey.
Throughout the hike, you will come across various other points of interest, including informational spots like Vallée du Lis and Vallée du Lys, as well as scenic viewpoints like Cascade de la Coume and Cascade du Cœur. Make sure to take your time and appreciate the natural beauty that surrounds you.
