This extremely difficult 14.404-kilometer circular hiking route takes you through the stunning Gourgs du Cady area, offering breathtaking views and a challenging trek.
As you start your journey, you'll come across several points of interest along the trail. About 6.85 kilometers in, you'll find a natural water source at the Gorgs de Cadí. Further along, at 6.03 kilometers, there is another water source followed by more at 6.09 kilometers and midway at 6.85 kilometers.
For accommodation options, you'll find the Refuge Jean Coderch and Refuge des Cortalets at 0.48 kilometers from the start, providing a place to rest along the way. Additionally, parking areas are available at the beginning of the trail, and a natural spring called Font Nostre can be found at 4.95 kilometers in for refilling your water supply.
As you continue your hike, you'll encounter the Porteille de Valmanya at 4.0 kilometers, offering a scenic spot to catch your breath. For those interested in peak views, the Pic Bas del Canigo is located at 3.83 kilometers from the start.
It's important to note that this route has an elevation gain of 1163.0 meters, making it quite demanding. Make sure to bring plenty of water, snacks, and check the weather forecast before embarking on this challenging adventure.
