This extremely difficult 14.316-kilometer circular hiking route will lead you to the majestic peak of La Frau. The trail begins at a parking area conveniently located right at the start of the route. As you embark on your journey, you'll come across a beautiful picnic site just 0.02 kilometers from the trail where you can enjoy a peaceful break amidst nature.

Venturing further, at around 1.25 kilometers into the hike, you'll encounter a refreshing spring known simply as "Source." This natural source of water can be a crucial refill point for your water supply, so be sure to take advantage of it.

As you continue your ascent towards La Frau, approximately 5.87 kilometers from the start, you'll pass by the entrance to the cave known as "Tute de l'Ours." This intriguing natural formation adds a touch of mystery to your hike and offers a unique sight along the way.

Further along the trail, at the 7.1-kilometer mark, you'll reach the peak of La Frau, where you'll be rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. Take a moment to rest and soak in the beauty of the summit before beginning your descent.

On your way back, around 6.06 kilometers from the start, you'll pass by another cave entrance called "Caougno de l'Arche." Although it is slightly off the main trail, this cave entrance serves as a reminder of the hidden wonders that exist within the mountains.

With an elevation gain of 976 meters, this hike is not for the faint of heart. Be sure to pack plenty of water, snacks, and sun protection, as the challenging terrain and length of the hike will require endurance and preparedness.
