Located in a historic and picturesque area, the Giro del Campo hiking route offers a challenging yet rewarding experience for outdoor enthusiasts.
Starting at the trailhead, hikers will pass by the Cisterna Tempio di Giunone Moneta, an archaeological site located just 0.03 kilometers from the start. Further along the trail, at 0.05 kilometers from the start, is the Acropoli con resti del tempio di Giunone Moneta, where hikers can explore the remains of an ancient temple.
As you continue on the route, you will come across various amenities such as the Panorama restaurant at the beginning of the trail, and drinking water stations at 0.65 and 1.12 kilometers from the start.
Midway through the hike, at 6.93 kilometers from the start, hikers will find a natural water source for refilling bottles. Additionally, there are benches and a viewpoint for taking a rest and enjoying the surrounding scenery.
With a total distance of 13.856 kilometers and an elevation gain of 526 meters, this route is classified as extremely difficult and is recommended for experienced hikers. Make sure to bring plenty of water, wear appropriate hiking gear, and check the weather forecast before embarking on this adventure.
